From May through mid-August hunters can expect excellent duck around Rancho Cristobal. This is a perfect way to add some variety and excitement to your stay. Hunters can plan to have the best duck hunting in the mornings. Afternoon hunts are also available, typically combined with another species.
We offer a diverse range of duck species for hunting, including Rosy-billed Pochards, white-cheeked pintails, and various teal species, all of which are abundant in our region. With generous bag limits, you’re guaranteed to have an exhilarating hunting experience filled with plenty of action.
An experienced guide will accompany you on all your hunts, helping to ensure success and providing additional information about the species, area, and more. Our hunting areas are as close as 20 minutes away, reducing the amount of waiting before your hunt starts.

About the Lodge
While you are here for the hunting, we invite you to indulge in our exceptional amenities during your stay at our new 18,000 sq ft, lodge.
Located in Santa Fe, Argentina guests typically fly into Buenos Aires. From here our staff will pick you up and transfer you to the lodge.
You will enjoy delicious Argentinian cuisine using locally grown ingredients – some from our very own garden prepared by our master chef.
After your hunt relax with a dip in the pool or a cocktail and cigar at the bar. Other amenities include a fitness room, treatment room, and more.

Duck Hunting FAQs
Our duck season spans from May through mid-August coinciding with the ducks migration patterns. Please note, these are our winter months.
This can depend on a variety of factors such as weather conditions and individual’s shooting ability – but 1,000 a day or more is realistic.
Depending on species, you can expect between 25 and 40 ducks per day.
Hunters do need a license to duck hunt, and this will all be organized by the lodge. We are here to help take care of all your needs before you arrive.
Duck hunting occurs during our winter months which can mean more variable weather. Visit our gear page for more information on this, but the three most important items for ducks are:
